#OOTD / #OOTN pageant princess edition

Buenos dรญas chicos y chicas!

How do you do? The weekend is soon approaching- wassup? What are your plans for the coming weekend? By God’s grace, I shall be in London, celebrating Haitian Flag day with my fellow Haitians in the UK.

But that’s not what I’m here to discuss today. I’m here to show y’all my dress ร  la Jennifer Aniston/ Angelina Jolie/ Jennifer Lopez (if you can remember the one leg Angelina Jolie meme, you’re an OG).

SO…. last Saturday, I was invited to the Mr and Miss Congo UK beauty pageant along with my fellow pageant princesses and queens.

I went for a simple burgundy dress from I Saw It First and as you can see… it’s pretty much bomb! You can already see the leg just peeking out of the dress- which by the way costed me less that a tenner.

With the first runner up (= prince) of Mr Congo UK- first edition and the winner (= king) of MMWIUK

Because I already had these golden barely there sandals from Primark, I decided to do for gold accents and accessories. I must say that I am quit please with it all.

The dress is really huggy and fits my body so perfectly that i could not stop feeling myself.

The Mr and Miss West Indies ladies – bar the queen- showed up and shut it down.

It was a great event as I met some fantastic people. Very enjoyable to see the Congolese culture and flavour in full display. I’m so grateful for this.

#NewIn: all that hair care haul (ORS, The Body Shop, Shea Moisture and all that jazz)

Glorious morning all!

I pray this post finds you well.ย Okay, now tell me… am I the only one that goes to tkMaxx with no particular thing in mind and ends up with a whole bunch of stuff and wondering how I had lived without them all this time?

No? Just me? Okay… (all of y’all are liars if you said no idc idc!!)

It’s definitely is the case for me. More often than not, I would walk into tkmaxx looking for absolutely NOTHING and leave with a bag of essentials.. Please DO NOT ask. Continue reading “#NewIn: all that hair care haul (ORS, The Body Shop, Shea Moisture and all that jazz)”

#StudyingSociety: “Would you date a woman with an Afro? “

Seriously, social media is full of people asking stupid questions!! It makes me sad…

The other day, as I was scrolling through my Instagram’s explorer page, I saw this picture with 3 photos of the (same) (gorgeous) woman with her hair in a MASSIVE Afro. It came with the question: “would you date a woman with an Afro?”… yeah, SAME!
I want to rephrase the question for them: would you date a woman with her 4c hair in its natural state?
