Good day you! How was your week?
Today, I’m talking skincare. Now… I’m no expert but I thought I would let you know about something that I do and that works for me.
Here we go… I scrub or exfoliate my body pretty much everyday!
Well, I started to scrub and exfoliate regularly earlier last year. It was probably a new year resolution or something. The truth is when you exfoliate, you remove dead skin cells that can build up if not removed. My skin used to be bumpy in my bum area and I generally have “chicken skin”.
Finally, I work in a secondary school and I feel like I’m just collecting all the nastiness available in the school to bring home so… it’s a must for me!
Well, for this question I have 2 answers
- Option 1- A cheap body scrub that is not too aggressive
If like me your skin is not very/ too sensitive, you can get away with pretty much any scrub on the market! Woot woot!! I got mine for one quid from savers uk. But obviously, you need to find one that works for you. Since mine costed £1, I don’t mind using it everyday and seeing it go down .
- Option 2-Exfoliating gloves 🧤
These are really cool. You can get 2 and use both of your hands without having to take it out to swap hands. I always get 2 or 3 packs from Primark. Sometimes I end up with 4 around my bathroom. They are quite cheap and so easy to replace regularly. With the glove, you can use your shower gel or soap- it’s whatever floats your boat- I normally use black soap.
As in “what’s the result?” I can proudly say that my skin is smoooooooth like peanut butter (obviously the smooth one!). I
I have a tip that could help you out but it is SO obvious that I may sound patronising: keep them in your bathroom/ close to your bath 🛀 or shower 🚿. It makes it so much easier that you literally can see it when you enter the shower and grab it. And don’t forget to moisturise afterwards.
So… what do you think: is it a bit too much? How often do you exfoliate your body? Lemme know what you think in the comments below. Until next time,
remain blessed and empowered!
